Key Responsibilities The Proposal Manager role will take full ownership of the end-to-end bid campaign, focused on complex solutions and strategically important bids, tender responses, RFP’s etc. - in both private and public sector markets in the Netherlands.

The Proposal Manager is a key interface, between the Sales Account Team, Solutions Team, Finance, Legal and Management, and has significant impact on the bid response process, and commercial success of Dell’s business.
This high visibility role requires the ability to work under pressure and to meet demanding deadlines.

  • Partners with the Sales team to understand the customer base, and supports Dells overall business objectives in the Netherlands

  • Formulating deal strategy with sales team and ensures visibility and communication on strategic opportunities.

  • Assembles and drives a bid team with the relevant competence required to respond to the customer in the most compelling manner.

  • Formalizes the customer solution into a compelling written response during the proposal/tender submission stage.

  • Ensures that deal governance is adhered to and administered for all opportunities. Prepares and reviews the commercial and financial aspects of the bid to ensure that all areas are compliant, liaising with legal, finance and the management team.

  • Proposal guidance and support regarding Dell's capabilities (including Presentations, Customer facing documentation).

    Essential Requirements:

    • Fluency of Dutch – excellent written and spoken language skills is a must.
  • Experience within Bid or Proposal Management, preferably in IT or similar environment.
  • Cross functional experience, organisational agility with experience navigating a large organisation.
  • Communication skills — particularly strong writing skills.
  • Negotiation and influencing skills, internal and preferably customer facing.
  • Project management skills, ability to deliver quality results under pressure and to deadlines, must be results oriented with a drive for excellence.
  • Analytical -, organization - and time management skills.
