We are seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to join our growing Finance team in Toronto. We are looking for a high-energy, hands-on individual that has software industry experience and the ability to work independently and as a team player. Required Skills / Experiences
Design, implement, and maintain Pivotal’s global AP processes, policies, and controls including but not limited to (1) Supplier Registration (2) Requisitions/Purchase Orders (3) Invoice Processing (4) Payments (5) Accounting Controls/Close Process and (6) Internal/External customer support inquiries.
Transform Pivotal AP into a highly strategic function as Pivotal prepares for IPO worthiness.
Manage and develop the four person Accounts Payable team, located in Toronto, Canada.
Manage the Invoice Processing Shared Service Center relationship with Dell (Panama), including regular monthly business reviews, and oversight of SOP’s and SLA’s.
Collaborate tightly with the Pivotal Accounting team to design, implement, and maintain a best-in-class control environment and AP related close process. Manage monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information; ensure accuracy of financial statements
Liaise regularly with internal (buyers) and external (suppliers) stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely processing of payables.
Build a program with a laser focus on strategic cash management (prompt pay discounts, payment terms, etc)
Represent AP on key projects as Pivotal builds it’s cross functional business process and systems to scale
Build a metrics based program, providing high quality insight into process throughput, company spend, and general department KPIs

Strong sense of responsibility, accountability and timeliness.
Process oriented mindset. Ability to design an efficient, scalable, and effective overall program.
Data oriented mindset (including but not limited to Excel proficiency, Ability to construct and report out on key spend categories, operational metrics, and KPIs)
Excellent communication and organizational skills, both verbal and written
REQUIRED EDUCATION & SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field
1099 and 1042 knowledge
Four or more years of accounting and/or accounts payable experience at a global company
Experience working with GAAP and accounting software
Workday experience is a plus.
Global banking experience is a plus
