Become part of the essential infrastructure company – from the edge to the data center to the cloud - and the best pre-sales team of the industry as a Senior Sales Engineer (CSE) based in Amsterdam . In this customer centric role you are the linking pin between customers, partners and your (technical) account team.

You will work close together with your virtual account team consistent of sales and pre-sales and help customers with their purchases. You are responsible to capture customer needs and translate these into high quality product configurations and solutions.

In this external technical sales role you will drive customer loyalty by delivering great customer experience. You do this through your expertise, responsiveness and sincere intend to drive out inefficiencies and risks in customers on-prem and off-prem data centers. Driving IT transformation, combining Dell EMC Servers, Networking, Storage and (Hyper) converged solutions with VMware, Microsoft and OpenStack virtualization, automation and cloud software.

Role Responsibilities

You will:

  • have a strong experience in Datacenter technologies

  • identify and capture customer objectives and requirements and recommend the appropriate solutions.

  • provide pre-sales technical support during the sales process to both customers and partners in cooperation with the (virtual) account team on servers, networking, storage and (hyper)converged solutions

  • be responsible for the integrity of the solution by requirement capturing and solutions scoping

  • drive the technical discussions with customers to close and deliver the solutions and meet targets, engaging with other subject matter experts or services as necessary

  • lead technical level discussions around enterprise solutions and building a credible future state strategy on optimized architecture

  • deliver high-impact presentations

  • become the technical knowledge resource for the customer and the (virtual) salesteams

  • promote and position key strategic product and services offerings aligned to solutions and defined workload areas

  • maintain and develop strong relationships with customers and are being perceived as trusted advisor.

  • maintain and develop your knowledge and share this with your direct colleagues

Essential requirements, we are looking for you, if you:

  • have passion to deliver great customer experience and building strong relationships

  • have high standards of integrity

  • have bachelor or equivalent degree within a technical field

  • have a strong experience in technical consultative sales of enterprise solutions

  • have good communication skills, is a great listener, likes to call with customers and present for (small) groups

  • have knowledge of the Dutch ICT market and its competition from a sales and/or technical perspective

  • have proven experience or is willing to learn and develop

  • are fluent (written and verbal) in both Dutch and English

Desirable requirements:

  • Industry certifications such as Cisco, HPE, MCSE, PMI, WMware, EMC

  • Server deployments (Preferably Dell)

  • Drivers, BIOS, Firmware, updates

  • Knowledge and experience in Scripting (HUGE Plus), Ansible, PowerShell, Python, etc.
