What you’ll achieve
As the Senior Manager, Technical Revenue, you will lead the revenue accounting and operations function for the organization, developing processes, tools and controls to support business requirements, as well as executing critical initiatives.
Support development and application of consistent revenue recognition rules and document accounting position for boomi’s revenue generating activities
Oversee revenue operations including managing order and revenue arrangement assignment and completeness of revenue transactions from source systems
Establish and maintain Standalone Selling Price (SSP) methodology and Revenue Recognition Policy for all boomi offerings
Establish and perform SSP Compliance reviews
Review and approve sku master data elements to assure the driving of accurate revenue recognition. Work with Sales ops and IT to develop new and existing skus.
Provide advice and support to boomi Sales organization on complex accounting issues during contract/deal negotiations in order to ensure deals are structured in accordance with US GAAP
Responsible for ensuring Revenue transactions are reviewed, documented and accounted for in compliance with US GAAP
Provide technical Revenue Recognition training to cross functional teams including Sales Ops, Legal, Services, etc. as required.
Review processes for gaps and opportunities to increase efficiency in revenue reporting accuracy and close
Formalize controls related to financial reporting
Point of contact for Internal and External Audits
Act as SME on NorthStar & NetSuite ERP projects to improve processes and automation related to revenue
Lead, manage and develop team members

12+ years of related experience
Qualified accountant, with experience in US GAAP and regulatory controls
ASC 606 knowledge & experience
Strong financial awareness and diligence, including risk mitigation
Ability to think tactically, strategically and creatively, with sophisticated interpersonal skills
Bachelors’ degree or above
Experience working within SalesForce and NetSuite
Capability to understand financial drivers and outcomes in the business and explain these to non-financial colleagues
