What you’ll achieve
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will direct SRE input into every facet of our technology solutions to help ensure performance and reliability. You will gain knowledge of IOT architecture and design patterns, utilize industry-leading tools and methodologies, and leverage data analytics and AI to gain insights from petabytes of data flow. Your efforts will help ensure that Dell is able to service and support our enterprise customers at the highest levels all around the world.
Refine new and existing application and hosting architecture, collaborating to optimize reliability, maximize performance, and simplify management
Mentor engineers to design and develop observability solutions to aggressively identify and intercept threats to system availability
Spearhead process improvement across mixed teams to systematically reduce toil and speed operations
Frequently communicate with Dell Digital and business executives on strategy and results

Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role:
8+ years in some combination of the following: software development, operational support/Devops and test/QA roles under Agile software development methodologies
Demonstrated experience in leadership/coaching/mentoring and communicating with stakeholders
4+ years performing failure mode analysis, root cause analysis, problem management, performance management, capacity management or similar activities within a governed process on mission-critical systems
Experience with developing and supporting IoT applications using technologies such as restful web services, MQTT, data streaming, and data sharding
Experience with one or more of the following: Springboot Java framework, Apache, Nginx, Kafka, Prometheus, HiveMQ, or similar platforms; microservices architectures and containerization platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker; and/or DBMS such as Oracle and MongoDB
Experience creating non-functional requirements and event handling standards for software development
Experience developing automation solutions
Experience with solution development and data analytics in Python
Experience with test-driven development, automated testing, Q/A, and/or Performance Testing
