The Financial Analysis Consultant will be responsible for performing strategic financial planning and analysis functions, including business case modeling and financial performance analysis for the Channel Sales organization. This role will directly support the Chief Channel Officer and will require the business acumen to do so using data, analysis and specific recommendations that will optimize channel sales and processes to support the channel strategy. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play an integral role in supporting a strategic investment area for the company.
Develops complex quantitative models to estimate the economic impact of pursuing various strategies / opportunities / partnerships and support advancement of the channel go-to-market strategy
Leads discrete modules of work and drives toward efficient, accurate, ‘exec-ready’ output with minimal guidance
Structures complex analysis and distills into relevant insights, for example related to partner incentive programs, seller commission structure
Develops processes for effective data reporting for Channel Sales including weekly / monthly sales reporting, and assists with ad hoc reporting requests
Provide management summaries for monthly and quarterly sales performance to be used in board-level presentations
Collaborates with Sales Operations to analyze operational data related to sales pipeline, deal registrations, company bookings and order fulfillment
Act as liaison for partner/association payments and process
Serves as the authority on historical results and sales forecasts
Helps develop business requirements for process and system improvements; works with system developers to implement these changes
Partners with business leaders to develop strategic plans, annual budgets, and quarterly forecasts for Channel sales, operating expenses and headcount as part of the overall company FP&A process
Undergraduate degree in a Business discipline
7 years’ experience data analysis
5 years’ experience advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
5 years’ experience of financial modeling
Experience with relational data
Ability to adapt to a complex and changing environment
Ability to quickly learn new systems and tools, including Saleforce.com, Data Warehouse, Workday, Adaptive, Tableau etc.
Industry background in technology or specifically in Managed Security Services preferred
Experience in business partner support of a Sales organizations is a plus
Adept at managing large amounts of information and converting into presentation form for an executive audience
Strong financial and business acumen
Excellent communication skills and ability to influence
