What you’ll achieve
As part of a small but growing team of engineers and designers you will be focused on driving sustainable mechanical design solutions for our products. You will be part of a global interdisciplinary design organization where you will be expected collaborate with teammates, hardware engineering, marketing, supplier quality engineering and other critical stakeholders. We are looking for a candidate with a passion for sustainability, technology, an open mind, and a desire to continuously learn new things. The primary focus of this role will be to develop design-based solutions aligned with our 2030 Progress Made Real (https://corporate.delltechnologies.com/en-us/social-impact/reporting/2030-goals.htm#filter=sustainability) and our 2050 Carbon Neutrality corporate goals.
Identify areas of opportunity based on technical feasibility and impact to the goals
Create, validate, and scale technical solutions for improving our ability to recycle our products
Develop suppliers and supply chains needed to support the business requirements
Create and implement product design methodologies to facilitate product take back and recycling.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
8+ Years’ experience working in Engineering field, preferably within consumer electronics
Able to influence and work effectively with external suppliers driving solutions aligned to DELL’s strategy
Ability to work in highly matrixed organization structures and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders
Set and implement design strategies across different product lines with using databased decision making
Master’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
Working knowledge of product design for disassembly, design for harvest, etc.
Skilled in using Creo solid modeling software program
Track record of driving change in a large organization
