Cloud Incident Response Analyst

Location: Remote – United States

The Dell Security & Resiliency organization (SRO) manages the security risk across all aspects of Dell’s business. The evolving threats in the cyber space demand an alert team of professionals ready to respond quickly. Our Incident Response team monitors organizational systems and responds to cybersecurity threats. We improve defenses by analyzing cybersecurity incidents, identifying vulnerabilities and providing detailed, actionable reports for the IT security team.

What you’ll achieve

As a Cloud Incident Response Analyst, you will be responsible for representing the Incident Response teams in matters of Strategy and Architecture providing Incident Response subject matter expertise to projects and initiatives, as well as helping improve and mature visibility and detection capabilities. You will work with other Cybersecurity Teams, IT teams, BUSOs, and other shareholders on major initiatives to ensure CSIRT operational requirements are communicated and met.

You will:

  • Help develop and matures CSIRT’s ISR program that covers visibility across data sources and mapping to detection capabilities for known adversaries TTP

  • Develop and document operational requirements for CSIRT across both existing and future state technologies

  • Provide subject matter expertise on areas of Incident Response and Cyber Threat Intelligence to project teams and other stakeholders to drive Cybersecurity strategy and architecture

  • Partner with CSIRT teams to assist with the development of their strategy and to understand their operational requirements

Essential Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with a focus in areas such as systems, network, or information security / cybersecurity

  • 4+ years of Cybersecurity Incident Response experience and 2+ years of experience in cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.

  • Excellent analytical thinking, time management and coordination skills

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and multicultural environment, with a positive and professional attitude

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience with DevOps and SecDevOps and the use of tools for version control and CI/CD such as GitHub, GitLab and frameworks for managing it. Agile and Scaled Agile experience is strongly preferred

  • Experience delivering managed services such as MSSP for Incident Response, Vulnerability Scanning, or Forensics
