A ground-breaking company making game-changing products needs an exceptional supply chain. Commodity Management within Materials and Procurement develops and implements plans to support forecasted needs for suppliers or commodities. We use our in-depth knowledge of foreign and domestic markets to negotiate supplier agreements and contracts with optimum pricing and terms. We also harness our understanding of commodity qualities, transportation options, risk management and supply chain evaluation models to develop optimal commodity management strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage supplier relationships on behalf of all Dell Technologies business units

  • Lead licensing, policy, cost, and funding conversations with the partner

  • Ensure cross-functional awareness, ownership, and compliance with supplier programs and initiatives


  • Strong background in the software market with experience in, but not limited to, the following functions: Software or Solutions Business Development, Product Marketing, IT Leadership, IT Sourcing, and or Industry Consulting

  • Core procurement experience in the areas of negotiations, complex contracting, stakeholder management and sourcing strategy development

  • 4-year college degree wit 10+ years of relevant business experience

  • Strong business acumen balanced with technical aptitude

  • Analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Experience influencing stakeholders across wide and complex organizations


  • Advanced degree and/or MBA

  • Experience in licensing intellectual property including the setup of optimal financial models (e.g., royalties, subscriptions, MDF, hosting, etc.) and understanding of assigning of licensing grants and software license constructs

  • Previous experience working with or for a top tier ISV
