What you’ll achieve

As a Global 3rd party Client Peripherals Category Planner you will conduct in-depth market and customer analysis to identify strategic growth areas, partner closely with the Product Group team to build a thinking / onboarding product road map and develop a 3-year strategy to accelerate category sales for our Consumer & Small Business on Dell.com.

You will:

  • Drive long-range category strategy & planning globally and manage the long-term TAM model regionally for the category

  • Collaborate with the Product Group, Portfolio & Assortment planners to build a thinking / onboarding road map, to ensure robust coverage and assortment strategy

  • Develop a 3-year growth strategy, identifying and leading key initiatives (4Ps) to accelerate Dell.com sales in the category

  • Work with the Product Group and Global Business Operations teams to apply & conduct analysis on external data sources to determine category ​growth targets globally

  • Leverage market data, customer insights and competitor analysis, to identify growth opportunities, build business cases and make brand / SKU recommendations

  • Define key brand health metrics / thresholds, market share and TAM coverage targets for the category by year / by region; and closely track performance against these goals

Essential Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant business experience working with Consumer Electronics (Product Management, Product Marketing, Planning, Merchandising)

  • Ability to assess market opportunity, understanding of P&L and financial concepts, advanced analytical skills and ability to convert insights to strategic actions

  • Excellent communication skills - ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization and to influence without direct authority

  • Experience managing relationships with external partners / vendors and/or distributors

  • Comfortable with ambiguity; Self-starter with ability to work independently with high sense of urgency and entrepreneurial spirit in a very fast paced environment

  • Creative and strategic thinking – ability to look for new and improved ways to achieve goals, and a constant curiosity for learning, remain flexible and agile when circumstances require course alteration

Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree, MBA preferred
