What you’ll achieve
As a Digital Forensic Investigator, you will use your subject matter expertise in digital forensic investigations to participate in all stages of an investigation through planning, collection, analysis, and reporting. You will complete documentation and procedures for testing, installation, maintenance, and training of forensic software and infrastructure. As a member of our eDiscovery, Forensics and Investigations (eFI) team, you will also participate in designing, testing and deployment of new forensic or eDiscovery tools or solutions.
Partner with Corporate Legal, Ethics, Security, and IT teams to manage multiple investigation requests through the entire lifecycle of initiation, data collection, analysis, and data production
Participate on Incident Response teams as a forensic subject matter expert
Work with vendors for problem resolution
Inform stakeholders through regular communication and incident reporting of the status, resolution, and final root cause analysis
Ensure appropriate tracking, handling, and documentation of events to meet audit, legal, and laboratory accreditation requirements

Understanding of advanced concepts of investigations, evidence handling, and computer forensics; and experience and/or knowledge of ANAB/ASCLD Lab accreditation and procedures
Experience with one or more major forensic analysis platforms/eDiscovery products in an enterprise environment (e.g. EnCase, FTK, NUIX, CyFIR, etc.)
Advanced knowledge of file systems and underlying data structures
Forensic experience with SQL database platforms; solid understanding of UNIX, Linux, and Microsoft operating systems; and working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Office 365
Strong skills working with a log aggregation tool or platform
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a similarly relevant field, with 8+ years relevant experience in computer forensic and incident response work; or equivalent work experience
Ability to script using a scripting language (PowerShell, Python)
Familiar with Data Privacy laws and the associated security requirements
Experience with deploying and updating virtual servers on VMware or Hyper-V
Experience with message archival systems (Enterprise Vault, SourceOne, Exchange, etc.)
One or more certifications such as the CFCE, CCE, EnCE, ACE, GCFA, or GNFA
