What you’ll achieve
As a Global Alliance Legal Counsel, you will review, analyze, and negotiate global sales agreements and supporting transactional arrangements with some of Dell’s largest global commercial partners, provide guidance on compliance, advise on partner program requirements and a broad range of legal issues.
Lead negotiations and draft contracts for the sale of information technology products and services to system integrators, cloud service providers, outsourcers (including managed service and professional service engagements)
Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Finance and Marketing to support the goals of the Global Alliance sales team and mitigate both business and legal risk
Advise and support the business on partner escalations and unique areas of exposure
Advise on compliance and regulatory matters applicable to partners, including competition laws, distribution requirements, data privacy, FCPA and technology export restrictions

JD degree with admission to at least one state bar
5+ years’ relevant experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department
Experience in drafting and negotiation of a wide range of technology related commercial agreements, including hardware/software and services, teaming agreements and resell agreements
Experience with intellectual property and software licensing and commercial contracts laws
Interacting effectively with senior management and sales leaders
Experience with different international business practices and regulations related to resellers and distributors, including competition laws
Experience with software revenue recognition issues
