The Global eComm Infrastructure Transformation Consultant will report to the Global eComm Operations Director and be the Dell-wide leader supporting online transformation efforts enabling the modernization of through infrastructure improvements. This critical role will ensure that the Dell systems and infrastructure driving content to in 17 target countries/markets is capable of supporting UI/UX and site functionality future-state improvements. This role is part of a strategic organization which will redefine how customers purchase computers, electronics and accessories online.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create the Case for Changeo Assess all Back-end Infrastructure components.Identify those that are lacking, redundant, non-eComm industry standard, overly manual, decentralized, out-of-date, and incapable of supporting a compete Modern experienceo Take an Outside-In approach.Identify eComm best practices for Infrastructure, Data and Product Information Managemento dentify opportunities to invest for improvement.Stack-rank opportunities by effort, impact and overall business benefit.o Align with execs on the most pressing needs.Create business cases to support investment and change.As new capabilities ramp up, demonstrate a ramp-down of manual resources.o Present recommendations to Global eCommLeadership team.Secure investment.

  • Program Manage Approved Projectso As projects get funded, lead global Program Management in partnership with the affected organizations.o Track project progress, milestones, investment, and interim results.Create mechanisms to track the business benefits after the improvement is released to production.o Manage project management resource if required for scope

Essential Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in large-scale eCommerce Operations as a manager of back-end content, Product Information Management (PIM) systems, web content publishing and other systems feeding the front-end customer experience(Note: These are not IT database infrastructure systems but those supporting content in some manner).

  • Overall 12+ years of experience in a combination of marketing, eCommerce, analytics and program management roles

  • Understanding of best practices in eComm content publishing

  • Experience in developing business cases for eCommerce

  • Program Management experience

  • Strong ability to influence others using command skills

  • High degree of organizational agility

  • Can successfully collaborate with both technical and business organizations

  • Proven ability to drive new initiatives and deliver results with significant business impact

  • Can develop professional presentations to clearly communicate up to VP & SVP level

Desirable Requirements

  • MBA strongly preferred
