Identity and access management is a critical part of every business and application, reducing the complexity required to allow business to control access to a broad array of data, applications, & systems. Increasingly it plays a pivotal role in an IT decision maker’s daily life and profoundly broad impact across organizations. Dell is looking for an identity expert to help define our strategy in this area and drive initiatives forward.
A capable candidate must demonstrate a strong understanding of standard cyber security compliance frameworks, controls, and practices; a comprehensive understanding of product management paradigms; software as a service experience; as well as strong collaboration & communication skills. The candidate will be responsible for helping to define and deliver key features and functionality as part of Dells evolving software product portfolio. Knowledge of enterprise information-security practices a plus.
Key Activities: .
Gathers and prioritizes customers’ requirements and works collaboratively to insure needs are being communicated to development teams.
Works collaboratively with the broader Dell organization from engineering to marketing to help drive initiatives from inception to launch.
Drives product definition and solution plans to optimize the company’s software portfolio and its distinctive value for business growth.
Develops specific marketing and communications plans and content for the assigned product(s).
Combines market analysis with deep understanding of customer’s needs to define product strategies and identify market opportunities.
Manages product launches to ensure sales force readiness, including training and collateral development.
Conducts competitive analysis to determine appropriate positioning and product messaging.
Identifies, evaluates and recommends marketing opportunities consistent with product line and solution objectives.
Communicates Dell’s systems management and overall value proposition to customers, including C-level leadership.
Undergraduate degree and 4+ years relevant experience, security experience a plus
Understanding of the Pragmatic Marketing framework concepts and practices
Agile Product management experience
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong knowledge of IT industry technologies, trends and direction
Familiarity with Compliance and Governance frameworks
