What you’ll achieve

As part of a small but growing team of engineers and designers you will be focused on driving sustainable solutions for our products. You will be part of a global interdisciplinary design organization where you will be expected collaborate with teammates, engineering, marketing, supplier quality engineering and other critical stakeholders. We are looking for a candidate with a passion for sustainability, technology, an open mind, and a desire to continuously learn new things. The primary focus of this role will be to drive data driven design and material solutions impacting our 2030 Progress Made Real ( and 2050 Carbon Neutrality corporate goals.

You will:

Utilize Life Cycle Assessment methodologies to drive data-based decision making

Provide insights and on future material selections and system design approaches with sustainability lens

Interface with suppliers to validate claims made in Life Cycle Assessments done on DELL’s behalf

Develop tools for internal teams to utilize when evaluating different solutions

Essential Requirements

Master’s degree in field of Sustainability with a Bachelor’s degree in technical field such as engineering, materials Science or other technology related field

8+ Years’ experience working in Sustainability field

Experience using Life Cycle Assessment modeling software tools such as Gabi and Simapro

Ability to work in highly matrixed organization structures and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders

Maintain understanding of latest industry technology and the applicability to DELL’s roadmap

Desirable Requirements

Doctorate Materials Science or Materials Engineering

Experience working in consumer electronics field

Track record of driving change in a large organization
