Product Owner – Modern Compute Solutions Group

The Product Owner's core responsibility is maximizing value of the portfolio by delivering software and solutions that bring value to customers and to Dell. This is accomplished through establishing priority and driving requirements that maximize the Dell core competencies in alignment with strategy and engineering development cycles. The Modern Client Solutions Group Product Owner is a cross-functional leader with a balance of leadership, agile scrum and development process skills. The product owner takes initiative and exhibits care regarding outcomes as much as an owner of the company would. They are accountable for the results of their actions.

You will:

• Understand and coordinate feature backlog for assigned releases

• Participate in the translation of software features into technical requirements and follow Agile Scrum-based software development

• Grow in becoming the primary voice on software releases working with engineering

• Share in the responsibility to maintain a groomed backlog and use effective Agile processes (Scrum and Agile)

• Establish and manage relationships with Engineering, Program Management, and other organizations

• Share in the delivery of successful product releases based on company priorities

• Grow key leadership competencies for driving change, including complex problem solving, identification and mitigation of risks, leveraging talent strengths, building consensus or decision alignment, and utilizing key relationships to accomplish desired outcomes

Essential Requirements

• An active participant in Agile technical project management of multiple software releases and a proven record of success in product ownership and/or product management

• Work across multiple technical teams to develop solutions and be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with other staff, departments and customers

• Experience in backlog grooming sessions and driving solutions to completion working with Agile teams

• Knowledge of engineering processes with the ability to communicate, strategize, plan and prioritize

• Solid communicator with strong influencing and presentation skills

• A passion for philanthropy as our team likes to give back as often as possible

Desirable Requirements

• 3-5 yrs experience in Product Ownership and/or Product Management or similar roles

• BA in Business, Engineering or other related degree as well as industry experience, MBA a plus

• Internal Dell experience a plus
