In Quality Engineering we play a central role by developing, implementing as well as maintaining technical quality assurance and control systems. We look for ways to improve the inspection, verification and validation of our finished products. Our team defines strategy – not to mention governance – for the implementation of quality standards and methodology. In addition to participating in the review of engineering designs, we assist customers or engineers in gathering and analyzing data.

Key Responsibilities

-Follows Test and QA processes for software and solutions development lifecycle management and Program management of quality deliverables/processes during development lifecycle process, such as phase review process.

-Understands the Agile SW Development process and how to apply to various software programs

-Possess adequate knowledge of Operating Systems including Chrome OS and Windows in terms of fail modes and customer usage models.

-Act as Quality business representative on Core Teams

-Establish annual CE goals with the team and LOB

-Generate and execute to Quality Plans by commodity, accessory or software stack

-Lead the Global Quality Extended Team

-Lead communications and ongoing initiatives with primary vendor/partners

-Develop and deliver portions of Quality reviews and status to all levels of the organization.

Essential Requirements

-Undergraduate degree and 8+ years relevant experience or Graduate degree and 6+ years relevant experience.

-Industry knowledge and experience working with vendor partners, Operating Systems and software applications required.

-Advanced understanding of quality tools, data, and processes and can use those tools to influence design decisions and improvements across lines of business.

-Minimum 8 years work experience in a Quality role.

-Strong communication with leadership and sometimes executive level teams, and ability to proactively communicate and recommend options and solutions, ability to make a case prior and anticipate questions.

-Strong knowledge and consideration of impact on customers in quality decisions. Able to provide input within team decisions that are impactful to customer needs, and proactively influence design decisions with customer viewpoint

Desirable Requirements

-Engineering Undergrad with MBA is preferred.

-Global understanding and influence of cultures and ability to work with those cultures.

-Ability to proactively solve problems that affect the project objectives and recognize impact, benefits and risks.

-Advanced understanding of technology discipline, such as software, solutions, operating systems and ability to influence other groups through technical expertise.

-Able to deal with ambiguous situations within project, across organization and with influencing change.
