Dell SDS Technology Program Manager in Austin, Texas

Dell provides the technology that transforms the way we all work and live. But we are more than a technology company — we are a people company. We inspire, challenge and respect every one of our over 100,000 employees. We also provide them with unparalleled growth and development opportunities. We can’t wait for you to discover this for yourself as a Supportability Program Manager on our ISG Service Engineering team. The Capability Lead drives successful delivery of business strategy by coordinating and managing large scale technology initiatives across cross functional areas. By understanding the business strategy, technology process and landscape, stakeholder focus areas and relationships and the ultimate “why” drivers of the transformative initiatives they lead, a successful Capability Lead goes well beyond traditional program management to deliver technical solutions that truly change our customer’s experiences.

Specifically, the Capability Lead has mastered the delivery of successful transformative capability delivery by fully understanding the business units they support – both by observing Dell-EMC unique practices, as well as studying industry trends. They understand the inherent trade-offs in the IT development lifecycle, and can quickly and effectively prioritize and drive focus on the critical deliverables. They can communicate effectively to diverse audiences – from Executives to Developer. They are organized and not afraid to challenge the status quo. The Capability Lead is strong at developing effective relationships across multiple silos and functional areas. They act as pragmatic program leads, but continuously drive a ‘can do’ attitude across all stakeholders in the program.

Capability Leads will likely have significant experience within the industry and the particular business function where they work. The Capability Lead functions as a part of the business team as a trusted partner who helps simplify the complexity of large technology initiatives to deliver the business value at the root of the program. The Capability Lead owns the successful delivery of a business capability. They coordinate the prioritization of requirements, manage scope, schedule and related plans required to ensure successful capability delivery. They act as the primary communicators on the status of the program, calling out key risks and issues and driving plans to address any key concerns.
