A ground-breaking company making game-changing products needs an exceptional supply chain. Commodity Management within Materials and Procurement develops and implements plans to support forecasted needs for suppliers or commodities. We use our in-depth knowledge of foreign and domestic markets to negotiate supplier agreements and contracts with optimum pricing and terms. We also harness our understanding of commodity qualities, transportation options, risk management and supply chain evaluation models to develop optimal commodity management strategies.


-Supports and frequently drives the development of the global sourcing strategy for a given software category

-Lead and facilitate Software licensing activities for Dell Technologies

-Partner and advise business partners on potential suppliers, projected costs, supply-side risk, and compliance issues during the development of software offerings or funding activities

-Lead sourcing decisions where applicable

-Draft contract terms to fit business models and use case requirements

-Educate stakeholders on licensing models to enable compliance and successful contract performance management

-Manage Supplier Relationship for all Dell Business Units


-Undergraduate degree and 6-8 years relevant experience or Graduate degree and 4-6 years relevant experience

-Business acumen balanced with technical aptitude

-Drive for results


-Core procurement experience in the areas of negotiations, complex contracting, stakeholder management and sourcing strategy development with a focus on Software and SAAS categories

-Demonstrated experience in identifying savings and cost reduction opportunities in contract negotiations, and developing and leading negotiating strategies to achieve those savings

-Demonstrated sourcing and negotiation experience with major Software Suppliers

-Analytical and problem solving skills
