Dell Senior Advisor, Product Management (New Product/Growth Opportunities within Data Protection Division) in Austin, Texas

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify new growth areas and product opportunities for data protection across Dell Technologies and industry partners

  • Direct overall product partnerships on behalf of Dell Technologies’ data protection division

  • Collaborate with other product managers on product development within Dell Technologies

  • Drive product adoption as a data protection software subject matter expert in industry events, blogs and community building

  • Maintain an excellent understanding of customer needs, market requirements, and technology trends

  • Create business cases and investment criteria for integrated solutions and 3rd party partnerships

  • Work with marketing and sales teams to define partner solution go-to-market

  • Collaborate with the Office of CTO to evaluate technologies and partnership opportunities

  • Advocate for new product features and capabilities on behalf of partners

  • Communicate product direction/strategy with partners

  • Assist sales in closing opportunities through product roadmap discussions and customer presentations

Essential requirements

  • Experience with, and exceptional understanding of, mid-market enterprise software, storage systems, and SaaS products

  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate across groups and businesses to drive a common solution

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; must be able to effectively present and influence

  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google) and Mobile technologies

  • Sales engineer or technical product management experience

  • Experience with Agile Methodology

Bachelors with 8+ years related experience or Masters’ Degree with 6+ years, MBA a strong plus or equivalent experience
