  • Conduct on-site visits as needed to perform delivery of Secureworks cloud security consulting services, including strategy (security planning), risk (risk assessments and management), cloud data protection (classification, encryption, tokenization), cloud-based identity and access management, technology/provider-specific cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, Google Apps, Salesforce, ServiceNow, SoftLayer, VMware and others), governance (security policies and procedures) and monitoring/analytics for and in the cloud.

  • Outline an actionable recommendation for technical security solutions, controls, mitigation actions and implementation strategy through detailed and professional documentation to be delivered to customers both in written and verbal formats

  • Provide an innovative approach to cloud security risk management that effectively provides inputs into Client's cloud security strategy development, risk identification, assessment, evaluation, tracking and mitigation

  • Evaluate partners, 3rd party vendors and Cloud service providers to define and develop appropriate governance for cloud security including policies for usage, standards, vendor evaluation, and vendor due diligence.

  • Present to Client's senior management and business partners to educate and evangelize approach to cloud security

  • Understand the implication of legal contracts (i.e. rights to audit, penalties, service levels etc.) with Cloud Service Provider's and third parties to ensure Client's data is protected.

  • Develop and present at industry conferences as an expert in the Cloud Security field

  • Develop and support junior cloud security resources

  • Participate in pre-sales activities and translate technical cloud security requirements into business terms and support in preparing statements of work (SOWS) and proposals.

As a managed security provider, SecureWorks expects its employees to understand and apply commonly known security practices and possess a working knowledge of applicable industry controls such as NIST 800-53. Employees will be expected to acknowledge their security responsibilities in writing prior to gaining access to company systems. Employees will be required to maintain a working knowledge of local security policies and execute general controls as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of Information Security experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience delivering Cloud Security transformation solutions in an enterprise environment

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience leading security teams

  • Minimum of 1 or more of the following certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, etc.

Preferred Skills

  • Security consulting experience

  • At least 1 AWS Associate Certification and the Security Specialty Certification or the AWS Solution Architect Professional Certification

  • Hands-on AWS experience with a minimum of 2 implementations (preferred in Enterprise scale environments)

  • AWS Cloud Security experience with specialization in at least one of the following areas:

  • AWS/Azure Cloud Strategy: Business Case development, application assessment and migration planning, Cloud Operating Model design

  • AWS/Azure Security: Compliance, Cloud Security Architecture, third-party security tools/platforms, encryption/KMS/CloudHSM, Inspector, IAM policies/roles, Shield, WAF, etc.

  • Cloud Native Application Architecture: AWS/Azure PaaS/FaaS services, Serverless architecture, Lambda, API Gateway, Containerization and Microservices, Lightweight architectures including JavaScript frameworks (Backbone.js, AngularJS, React), single page applications, and modern web applications

  • Experience with core AWS platform architecture, including areas such as:

  • Organizations, Account Design, VPC, Subnet, segmentation strategies

  • Identity and Access Management policies, federation strategies, and PAM

  • Key Management Strategies and Data Protection

  • Logging and Monitoring implementation

  • Network connectivity, Direct Connect and VPN

  • Prior experience performing Enterprise IT security risk assessments based on industry standard security frameworks (e.g., ISO 2700X, NIST 800 Series, SSAE, COBIT, FedRAMP, etc.)

  • Experienced with data protection and privacy laws in different regions of the world (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA, ECPA, etc.).

Location- Remote with travel up to 70%
