The ability to drive human progress through technology relies on robust and reliable IT infrastructure – and that’s what our IT Infrastructure team provides to our customers. We’re a team of experts optimizing the performance and integrity of IT infrastructure and ensuring consistency and synchronization across all infrastructure components. Alongside supporting new and existing applications, we work with other IT groups and business units to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consults with IT managers in other IT departments to coordinate activities, prepares presentations and proposals.

  • Defines, obtains approval for, and implements department policies, business practices and procedures, and enforces them as well.

  • Identifies, justifies, and obtains approval for departmental initiatives, and takes leadership roles in these activities.

  • Confers with and advises subordinates on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, and methods.

  • Establishes work priorities for senior technical individual contributors and/or supervisors and managers, prepares activity and progress reports regarding the activities of the work group/department, and reviews and evaluates work of subordinates and prepares performance reports.

  • Evaluates and implements new methods and software tools to improve execution of core department responsibilities.

  • Provides senior management with input in the areas of direction, staffing and forecasting.

  • Has budget responsibility for a work group or department

  • May be required to represent the organization with Dell Technologies customers.

  • Provides direct management of senior technical individual contributors and/or technical supervisors or managers and assigns senior individual contributor resources to various projects and directs their activities.

  • Responsible for support of tools and products that are used to maintain the IT infrastructure.

Essential Requirements

  • 12+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • 3+ years managerial/leadership experience

  • Working knowledge of Avaya IVR systems and other Avaya telephony solutions

  • Will consider remote work within Central Texas
