Dell Senior Principal Systems Development Engineer in Austin, Texas
Currently we are looking for an experienced and passionate engineer to join the Microsoft Hybrid Cloud Team. You’ll help transform the hybrid cloud market by bringing together the best technologies from Microsoft and Dell EMC. This engineering team is responsible for the Dell EMC Azure Stack integrated systems, dev/test and platform validation. This team works closely with peer development teams to help shape the Dell EMC competitive advantage as an Azure Stack partner. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our releases are thoroughly tested and delivered on time while providing valuable feedback for future feature enhancements.
Develop and automate test cases to improve execution and reporting.
Transform validation processes via automation and integration into CI/CD pipelines.
Assist in validation of Dell server platforms, HDD/SSD/NIC/Switches and software for the Azure Stack product.
Triage and debug issues; identify and communicate with functional owners to drive resolution and improvement.
Participate in Agile planning sessions, work within and across scrum teams.
Work closely with functional leaders in identifying requirements to streamline processes.
Adhere to industry best practices in order to establish consistency across engineering teams.
BS CS or CE
7+ years professional experience
Experience working with Agile methodologies
Experience with automation frameworks
Experience with CI/CD tools- (Atlassian, Azure Dev Ops)
Experience with QA and test automation toolsets (Zephyr)
Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, virtualization and cloud technologies such as Azure, Hyper-V
Knowledge of PowerShell and C#
Excellent communication skills
Strong team player, mentor and operate efficiently across functional teams
