Software Senior Principal Engineer

State-of-the-art products demand state-of-the-art firmware, and that’s the role of our Software Engineering team. We lead and deliver the analysis, design, programming, debugging, troubleshooting or modification of software for firmware applications. Our team oversees programming activities involving analog and digital hardware as well as software operating systems. We also influence product development at all stages. In short, we use the latest technology to modify existing solutions, in addition to developing innovative new software and firmware solutions

What you’ll achieve

Client Platform Software Engineering team builds products and solutions for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications and diagnostics — all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and in collaboration with internal and external partners.

You will:

  • Lead the development of Serviceability features such as Diagnostics, Instrumentation and System Resilience

  • Develop next generations products and will have an opportunity to shape the best in the world client technologies.

  • Take ideas from concept phase through delivery, including creating high level design documents, scoping design and requirements and detailed specification creation

  • Develop Proof of concept designs and implement them as product features with specific focus on diagnostics and serviceability of client platforms

Essential Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Computer Architecture

  • Strong knowledge of C/C++, C# programming languages

  • Expert in UEFI

  • Hands on experience in design and development of pre-boot features

  • Knowledge of hardware interfaces, WMI

  • Experience in feature requirements, architecture and design of applications for Windows operating systems which interact closely with hardware devices and operating system core, IPC

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in Agile including tools such as Jira, Confluence, Git

  • Experience with Windows Device Drivers

Education and Experience:

  • 10+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8+ years with a Master’s degree in related field
