Dell Solution Owner in Austin, Texas

Solution Owner (Front End) Senior Consultant

We are seeking an exceptional leader and forward thinker to help define and execute a new cross-product solution development approach. The solution owner will be responsible for leading customer insights, defining key solutions and requirements (e.g., platform, SW, ecosystem, and services), and facilitating incubation of critical innovations to hand over the solution ingredients to development teams with appropriate maturity level. In this role, you will need to collaborate and lead product planners from each of the product lines, adapt a well-entrenched product development process to better align cross-organizational stakeholders and guide the development of an integrated solution. Additionally, you will need to create buy-in from senior-level leadership and provide regular status updates on the solution development and key innovation progress.

Solution owner will:

  • Drive research and analysis on customers for meaningful segmentation (e.g., personas, verticals, functions, etc.), use-cases, pain points and expectations through a combination of quantitative and qualitative research

  • Synthesize customer insights into unique user personas and define/develop solution requirements to address each persona’s needs across a broad set of commercial users

  • Create cross-organizational alignment on customer needs and influence hardware, software, and ecosystem roadmaps to create integrated solutions

  • Identify product innovations to address pain points and partner with engineering to ensure technical feasibility

  • Test new experiences with customers to gauge resonance and develop business rationales

  • Ensures all deliverables of Product Planning are well thought-out against both short- and long-term needs and delivered on time

Essential Requirements

  • Typically requires 10-15 years of related experience in a product/solution owner role in a large enterprise environment

  • Ability to effectively work at all levels of the organization to drive results and influence broad set of stakeholders without direct authority

  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a product lifecycle

  • Experience delivering complex solutions on-time with a tight deadline

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to executive/C-level stakeholders

  • Adaptability to changing organizational priorities

  • Self-direction and motivation with the ability to operate independently, adapt quickly, and navigate ambiguity

  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity in a fast paced, dynamic environment

  • Proficiency leading and managing multiple workstreams, project teams and informal teams

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Desirable Requirements

  • MBA or Masters in Technical Field (e.g., engineering, computer science, etc.)

  • Experience managing both HW and SW products
