What you’ll achieve:
Solutions Architecture is a job function that focuses on the strategic planning, design, implementation, and oversight of complex multi-ingredient Client Solutions. The Solutions Architect will lead cross-team requirements, architecture, design definition, development, validation, and infrastructure teams to build solutions with clearly defined measures of success. The Solutions Architect will consult heavily through the front-end stages of solution definition with Product Marketing to ensure successful delivery of the requirements and technical details of the Solution. The Solutions Architect will also serve as a bridge between ingredient teams, ensuring complete usability, security, interoperability, and performance characteristics.
Reviews business context for solutions to company challenges as well as defining the vision and requirements for the solution, recommending potential options, (which may include Technical POV or prototype development), selecting the most optimal option, and the development of a roadmap for the selected solution.
The solutions architect will partner with solution validation to define and implement a cross-functional validation solutions strategy. The strategy will include the workflows and tools necessary to implement.
Represents organization in all front-end planning activities including proof of concept activities, scoping, and sizing, and identifying key dependencies required to deliver high quality solutions offerings
Assures solutions not only are a fit for the specific purpose but also closely align with the standards guidelines of technology solutions
Assists domain architecture team on solutions management and timing of financial spend for application solutions.
Directs the identification and recommendation of appropriate solutions, upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning options incorporating business and technology productivity, usability, and total cost of ownership.
Understands industry trends and in partnership with senior leadership, assists in developing the strategic direction for technology initiatives.
Requires 15+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 12+ years with a master’s degree; or 8+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience
Must possess a demonstrated understanding of hardware and software interactions, and able to apply this understanding to develop key validation strategies, address technical problems, and resolve key issues.
Knowledge of programming languages; operating systems; firmware; BIOS; device drivers; databases;
Strong knowledge of the architecture and interdependencies of the PC ecosystem including HW, FW, Drivers, OS, Applications, and Cloud.
Experience working on complex software projects and ability to learn & retain complex business processes and technical details.
Ability to document complex architectural concepts and solutions in both business and technical terms
Knowledge of programming languages; operating systems; firmware; BIOS; device drivers; databases; system, network, operating system, cloud; embedded software/firmware; tools and utilities
Experience designing and building scalable and distributes software applications.
In-depth knowledge of test strategies for a variety of different software products
General understanding of both consumer and commercial environments components
Familiarity of cloud solutions and services
