What you’ll achieve;
APEX Operations and Enablement Program Management is a worldwide team that’s vital to the ongoing evolution of Dell. It has an impact on users, processes, technology and organizational change in business units right across the company. We lead on global, enterprise-wide, foundation programs, often valued above $50M. It’s all about using strong technical knowledge and identifying industry best practices to enrich program solutions.
Role requires the successful definition, development and delivery of large scale, cross functional, changes to business processes and tools that drive transformational improvement in efficiencies and effectiveness across a broad cross section of the business.
The Operations and Enablement Program Manager leads a cross-functional, pan-Dell, worldwide core team through the program definition/ requirements to set the program expectations, benefits and timing. This includes defining stakeholders, key resources, and tool/process needs. To define the program, usually requires a strong technical knowledge across multiple Dell functions, tools and processes to capture the current “as is” state as well as the desired future state. Often includes benchmarking across one or multiple industries to identify industry best practices and incorporate them into the proposed program solutions. Program often includes IT investments larger than $50M and/or large organizational change: -Impacting > 1000 users -Transforming > 20 roles (new job descriptions) -Spanning multiple process lifecycles & transformation work streams, inclusive of technology, org change management, tax, security and controls, etc. -Transforming multiple Dell Business units (Enterprise Solution, Dell Software, Services, Edge, Telco and/or Client/End User)
Be responsible for large sized or complex projects or significant components of multiple programs. Often includes IT investments larger than $50M Impact is on multiple functions or processes and could have global, pan-Dell impact
Lead efforts to transform regional, legacy Dell process to global, industry-standard base design points, with exceptions made for local legal requirements and Dell differentiation aligned with core corporate strategic objectives
Program range from a portion of or the entirety of a larger process transformation Requires matrix-management budget responsibility achieving a program’s benefits/value and staying within approved budget. Can roll-up into a larger program/portfolio budget/benefit.
Typically spans several across several portions of the customer journey lifecycle and may span end to end to achieve goals of the program
Strong technical knowledge across multiple Dell functions, tools and processes
Industry relevant experience across one or multiple industries to identify industry best practices and incorporate them into the proposed program
Program relevant skill set preferred with extensible skills across technology, org change management, tax, security and controls, etc.
Expert teamwork skills
Education and Experience
- Typically requires 12+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8+ years with a Master’s degree; or 5+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience
