Join us as a Technical Program Management Consultant on our Infrastructure Solutions Group team in Austin, TX, Hopkinton, MA, or other locations to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.

What you’ll achieve

As a Technical Program Management Consultant, you will drive the development and implementation of new and exciting products and services. Working closely with engineering, product management, operations & supply chain, sales, customer service, partners, customers and other technical support groups in cross-functional teams, you will manage the entire lifecycle of highly complex, high risk projects. From design to delivery.

You will:

  • Drive the cross-functional planning and go to market readiness for several ISG solutions.

  • Develop and maintain multiple highly complex technical programs that include diverse practices, services and/or initiatives

  • Identify key internal relationships to support better alignment of our delivery teams; facilitate inter-organizational and cross SAB communication and issue resolution.

  • Facilitate, coordinate and lead cross-functional/SAB teams to complete program and/or project plans, tasks and milestones according to commitments.

  • Identify and remove impediments, prevent distractions that interfere with the ability of the team to deliver on goals.

  • Provide regular program status demonstrating execution to scheduled activities, assessing risks, and predicting potential areas needing attention; practice active risk and issue management.

  • Collaborate with Product Management to understand the product/solution roadmap and key areas of integration across Dell EMC product lines.

  • Champion programs/projects that effect long range goals and objectives.

  • Influence and ensure execution of continuous improvement of product/solution development lifecycle process, practices and initiatives.

  • Constantly strive to improve self and team's productivity.

  • Understand impact of emerging business trends and their implications for Dell Technologies and its customers

  • Develop common-sense solutions to complex business problems through in-depth investigation, coordination and collaboration with key decision makers

  • Build effective, high-performance core product design teams and provide ongoing feedback to functional management

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • 12–15 years of related experience in product development processes, product/solution areas and customer needs and usage

  • Minimum of 5 years recent experience in a hardware and software development environment

  • Software lifecycle experience required; experience working with Agile development teams desired

  • Project management skills – demonstrated skills in various techniques – planning, governance, program tracking, issue and risk management

  • Ability to manage cross functional teams to define the product/solution definition and requirements

  • Capability to clearly communicate technical matters and build relationships with decision makers
