Telco Global Commodity Manager
Location: Remote - TX

Commodity Management within Materials and Procurement develops and implements plans to support forecasted needs for suppliers or commodities. We use our in-depth knowledge of foreign and domestic markets to negotiate supplier agreements and contracts with optimum pricing and terms. We also harness our understanding of commodity qualities, transportation options, risk management and supply chain evaluation models to develop optimal commodity management strategies.

What you’ll achieve
This is a dynamic position that will support Services procurement. Our group supports all lines of business, all warranty types, and all warranty cost. You will play and important role to help us find cost savings opportunities, while working with our global teams.
Partner with your stakeholders to develop and execute on all aspects of strategic sourcing and procurement within your commodity/category
Develop and maintain positive business relationships with key stakeholders and budget owners and collaborate with every partner in a personable, approachable manner
Lead supplier communications, understand the market, support data collection & analytics, and contract management, such as (pricing, terms and conditions, SOWs, MPAs, & FSS etc.)
Lead opportunity assessments, category strategies, supplier negotiations and supplier performance/relationship management – Across the new Telco Landscape
Capture product and service requirements from business owners and stakeholders for improvement activities and supplier business reviews
Support the business in spend management projects that accomplish key objectives like Vendor recovery savings, process effectiveness, supplier consolidation & management, risk reduction & management, improved visibility and control of expenditures
Meet with Telco suppliers and stakeholders for key operational and status meeting used to drive the supplier relationship management and compliance relationship while building a strong partnership

Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role:
8+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Business ; or 6+ years with a MBA or Master’s degree (strongly preferred) in a relevant field such as Engineering (ME/EE/IE) or Finance
3+ years of supply chain experience applicable to the commercial/consumer electronics industry or related experience
You have demonstrated ability and passion to dissect/solve problems with a fact based, data driven, rigorous approach
You manage multiple projects and timelines within deadline + You have excellent attention to detail and have strong analytical skills
Your collaboration and communication skills (both verbal and written) are demonstrably effective in a collaborative environment
You bring TELCO knowledge and/or understanding to the role
You are resourceful with a strong work ethic, committed to complete execution of projects and objectives. You are self-directed/driven with excellent organizational skills
Consulting experience or direct Telco experience is a plus
You are a creative problem solver and negotiator
You thrive when multi-tasking and work best in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
