Within the Client Solutions Group in Dell, we are looking for a Display and Client Peripherals Sales Lead to join our South Asia & Korea team based out of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia / Jakarta, Indonesia / Bangkok, Thailand .

Principal Accountability

This role is responsible for developing the Display Solutions & Client Peripherals business for the country / sub-region as part of the BU (Client Solutions Group) organization and working in collaboration with the core sales / channel organizations to build and grow this portfolio.

General Summary

  • Develops account presence by creating a high value-added working relationship with senior customer personnel

  • Identifies long-term and short-term sales opportunities. Focuses on sales activities that produce results in the short term as well as the long term

  • Transfers customer information and market knowledge to various cross-functional teams to improve overall development and positioning of offerings within the portfolio

  • Evangelizes the eco-system in large customer forums and key Dell events

  • Regular engagement with end-users / channel partners / distributors

  • Understands and communicates technology roadmaps and vision and associated technical advantages of the proposed solution

  • Recommends product and service configurations to assist with overall system design and integration

Differentiating Criteria

  • Strong knowledge of the portfolio and associated selling motion

  • Experience in a quota-carrying sales role

Principal Job Responsibilities

  • Owns and delivers to the sales number for the territory assigned

  • Fundamental understanding of the products and services portfolio for Dell and competitors

  • Responsible for developing the go-to-market strategy and associated demand-gen activities

  • Demonstrates the value proposition for the product / service technology as impacting the customer environment

  • Gains access and creates relationships with key stakeholders to build a long-term association

  • Responsible for working with application vendors to get our products and services bundled in the application solution, owns the application vendor relationship

  • Engages appropriate internal and external resources to achieve desired sales results

  • Accomplished sales professional, contributing beyond self, sought out by others

  • Manages significant complexity across all vendor relationships

  • Build a good working relationship with core and channel sales teams / leads

  • Cross-functional engagement with Marketing, Special Pricing, Product Group and Demand Supply, as appropriate

Essential Skill Requirements

  • Able to negotiate standard contracts

  • Understands our pricing model and develop vendor quotes

  • Able to coordinate Dell resources sales, product/service group, and operations to meet both vendor and customer needs

  • Uses in depth knowledge of Dell’s technology, products and services to help customers formulate strategy and direction

  • Engages cross functional resources, regardless of geographic location, in order to achieve goal/ meet customer needs

  • Strong oral, written communication and presentation skills to communicate with customers, partners and leadership

  • Training and coaching skills
