Senior Advisor, IT Network Operations

Experienced network engineer with desire for growth and knowledge expansion supporting Dell Technologies Global Network Infrastructure. Seeking candidates that have a passion for technical infrastructure and advanced network engineering and support including knowledge building in security, routing, switching, transport, and service management. What you’ll achieve

As an Advisor, you will be the primary Network Operations support person for Dell Network Infrastructure and to work well with cross functional teams. Serves as escalation path and technical consultant to L3 Network Engineers.

You will:

  • Able to analyze Dells network infrastructure and provide both tactical and strategic solutions to issues.

  • In-depth disciplinary knowledge; leverages business acumen and subject matter expertise.

  • Provides deep subject matter expertise, advice and program delivery. Contributes to the development of new techniques and plans within area of expertise.

  • Integrates trends, data and information into plans, deliverables and recommendations.

  • Develops innovative and creative output based on interpretation and analysis that improve business performance and contribute to corporate goals and strategic intent.

Essential Requirements

  • At least 8 to 10 years of experience in network support and engineering field.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, with proven experience interacting with a range of personalities and styles, to establish effective relationships at all levels of the organization.

  • Able to quickly learn systems, processes, and procedures, grasp technical concepts, and adapt easily to change. Must have a passion for learning and demonstrable intellectual curiosity.

  • Able to manage competing demands, multiple priorities, while remaining adaptable and flexible. Familiar with Incident/Change/Problem Management processes and procedures.

  • Advanced knowledge of infrastructure performance and hardware including Cisco and Dell Networking platforms. Experience with Firewalls and DMZ-protected networks.

Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT or equivalent.

  • Experience with Netscout Monitoring and Performance Tools & ServiceNow CRM platform. Experience with end-to-end troubleshooting for both internal and external infrastructures (Carriers, Outsource providers, Vendors) is a plus.
