RSA Conference (RSAC) is the leading, and largest, educational forum for cyber security professionals in the world; professionals tasked with setting the agenda, meeting the challenges, and creating solutions for the industry.

The successful candidate will guide the overall technology infrastructure strategy for RSAC and support individual cross-functional and third party team technical needs which are required to execute respective goals and objectives. The RSAC Senior Technology Manager will oversee the security, design, development, integration, implementation and maintenance of RSAC’s technology solutions. The successful candidate must be able to provide leadership, direction, strategy and governance while utilizing extensive knowledge and technical experience in the latest technology and trends.

Responsibilities include:

  • Guiding the integrated technology infrastructure strategy for RSAC to deliver an engaging, year-round experience. Platforms include the RSAC website, hosting company, marketing automation system, registration, database, mobile app, housing bureau system. Will partner with key stakeholders to decide which technologies align with the overall business objectives.

  • Working with RSA Security Team to ensure and maintain world-class security standards throughout technology infrastructure.

  • Supporting department leads/teams to help make strategic and operational decisions and help teams define technology needs and subsequent roadmaps for implementation.

  • Supporting and consulting with marketing team on evolving website, analytics, marketing automation and database requirement needs.

  • Supporting technology team on registration/ecommerce platform initiatives

  • Assisting with website optimization, including improving site structure and scalability, page construction, image and page templates, search, and portal services

  • Owning and managing the RSAC mobile app

  • Assessing and evaluating RSAC’s hosting platform vendor

  • Leading and developing RSAC’s database strategy

  • Setting priorities across all technical projects

  • Understanding the RSAC year-round content strategy and helping create future solutions for gating/e-commerce

  • Improving efficiencies and effectiveness. Conducting operational reviews and ensuring optimization opportunities are leveraged in an effort to improve shared services.

  • Researching current and new industry trends and technologies

  • Developing business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT initiatives and associated spending

  • Leading the development and execution of RSAC RFPs for technology related components

  • Managing 3rd party vendors

  • Budget management

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of business experience, preferably in a high-tech environment, with increasing levels of management and technical responsibilities, including website design and architecture

  • Demonstrable experience architecting multi-tier, scalable, customer-facing websites and applications.

  • Deep understanding of building websites and UX

  • Expertise with identity management, authentication and information security best practices

  • Ability to translate business needs into technical functionality. Ability to translate highly technical ideas into understandable talking points for technical and non-technical members of the organization.

  • CMS experience a must, preferably with SiteCore knowledge (RSAC’s CMS)

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Fosters a collaborative and team approach and is very responsive. Ability to work with cross-functional and remote team

  • Possesses professional emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills when interacting with team members

  • Experience managing third party contracts and deliverables

  • Strong attention to detail while also understanding the big picture

  • Have a proactive/strategic mindset

  • Knowledge of technological trends and the ability to learn new technologies as needed

  • Must have project management skills, be flexible and understand rapidly changing goal-posts

  • Ability to develop convincing business cases and project recommendations based on sound logic, industry best practices, accurate cost/benefit analyses and clear concise presentations
