This role supports the Education Services Learning Design and Development organization by evaluating potential tools/solutions for use by the Learning Design and Development teams. Manages the development, implementation, and coordination of strategies to enhance the learning experience, increase knowledge retention and improve learner interactivity. Supports and participates in cutting edge technology implementation. Understands emerging learning technologies and brings those solutions to learning platforms.
Works towards implementing solutions such as processes, guidelines and knowledge sharing to improve efficiency
Acts as a key player in the strategic design process of projects, assuming responsibility for the overall experience strategy and execution
Represents the Voice of the Customer User (VOC-U) in both reactive and proactive work.
Keeps current with the latest in interactive and design technologies and investigates new methods to bring cutting edge functionality for future development
Conceives innovative learner experience models that explore concepts that lie well outside today’s typical learning application paradigms
Defines the learner experience vision, brand strategy, solution innovation, and prototyping
Identifies learner centred design patterns, establishes scenarios, places designs into learner context.
Partner with the business and subject matter experts to assess and select solutions, solicit and document stakeholder requirements and evaluate tool capabilities to meet stated requirements
Present findings to stakeholders & IT, Collaborate with IT to onboard new tools
Identifies and supports all opportunities to improve organizational execution, processes, and effectiveness.
Prioritize tasks and manage concurrent workstreams, follow AGILE principals to ensure quality and timely work
Work on assignments where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making choices, recommendations or decisions
Updates team and management on project/activity status
Works with outside vendors on producing creative/interactive projects
Stay current in best practices, tools, and applications across learning and training industry
Escalates issues to appropriate development teams and/or technology partners in a timely manner.
Self-motivated individual willing to upskill and maintain a specialist level of technical knowledge
Excellent interpersonal skills
Exhibit a sense of ownership and accountability in your work
Working knowledge of AGILE project management principals
Demonstrates good communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to work with technical concepts
Ability to work on multiple projects and/or tasks with aggressive deadlines

5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Technical background in an Enterprise technology environment
