A VxBlock Agile Coach is a consultant, facilitator, hands-on expert, advisor, teacher, mentor, and change agent. The agile coach responsibilities include:
Build and maintain expert-level knowledge in agile practices and methods as well as Jira tooling (including VxBlock specific practices and industry trends/direction).
Assist agile teams to improve delivery performance through coaching and mentoring on team roles, Jira/Confluence tooling, and agile practices/methods.
Assist team in resolving issues, impediments, and/or roadblocks through advising, facilitation, and direct ownership of actions.
Collaborate with agile teams and broader stakeholders to define and implement team performance metrics.
Identify, define, contribute to, and recommend organization metrics related to our development process and agile execution.
Develop effective dashboards and reports for team and organization metrics.
Monitor team performance and metrics, identify emerging issues, and propose recommended solutions to agile teams, EPM’s, and engineering management.
Identify, recommend, and align with teams, EPM’s, and engineering management on continuous improvement plans.
Develop agile team (scrum master, product owner, and team members) knowledge and skills related to VxBlock Agile practices.
Develop and deliver training (Agile, development process, Jira training, etc.) to agile teams and the broader development organization as and when needed. Customize training appropriate to the situation and our VxBlock development needs.
Assist with development and creation of team agreements.
Assist product owner to build business goals for each sprint.
Guide and assist scrum master (as needed) in arranging and facilitating agile ceremonies including stand-ups, planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Identify, define, contribute to, and recommend changes to agile methods and practices in order to optimize development cycle times.
Identify, define, contribute to, and recommend changes to VxBlock development process in order to optimize development cycle times (including OLP-Agile harmonization opportunities).
Evangelize and champion agile principals across all levels of the development organization (specifically champion VxBlock specific efficiency opportunities with those principals).
Coordinate active steps in VxBlock teams making agreements with other teams in order to have integrated solutions.
Lead the efforts in implementing an agile center of excellence (COE) in order to provide support to ensure a smooth Agile transformation at all levels in Engineering and Operations VxBlock Systems & Vscale.
