They’re responsible for testing everything from prototype development systems to peripherals and pre-released software. Performing test cases and automative tests, they assess functionality and compatibility. They document their findings so we know when the latest innovation is ready to be shown its spotlight on the global stage.
Work closely with Project/Program Managers to ensure timely completion of Internationalization QA for assigned projects
Act as Internationalization consultant and guide, educate, train, and support development teams on Internationalization QA best practices and test strategies
Participate in developing training material and presentations to other product engineers in Internationalization (coding/testing guidelines, demos, seminars, etc.)
Help raise awareness of feature team members on Internationalization by showing them how to test for Internationalization
Help with triaging and prioritization of bugs; follow through with feature teams to make sure critical bugs are addressed in a timely manner
Identify and implement process enhancements to present excellent operational efficiency
Help design and implement automation solutions/tools that increase efficiency and productivity in testing software for Internationalization
Triaging and prioritization of bugs; follow up with product teams to ensure defects are addressed in a timely manner
Manage and address stakeholder queries on all aspects of Internationalization.
Help design tools that increase the use of automation in testing software for Internationalization issues
Experience using one or more of the following programming/scripting languages, automation tools
Experience in working with Ranorex is an advantage
Experience in working with Static Analysis Tools for Internationalization like Globalyzer is an advantage
Remain visible as stakeholders’ main PoC for Internationalization related areas.
Collaborate with global team members and contribute toward initiatives
Provide your team with the innovative ideas and its implementation Essential Requirements
Overall experience – 6+ years of Experience or knowledge of software Internationalization and Localization testing
Knowledge of Confluence, JIRA and other defect management tools
High-visibility role who can articulate, scale up quickly and can perform under pressure.
Effective communication skills, a team player who can also fly solo, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge on other areas of globalization and localization tools is an added advantage.
