What you’ll achieve

The IT Audit Senior Advisor has a lead role in the IT Assurance team evaluating risks and controls, executing audit reviews, communicating issues and findings to management, devising solutions for business improvements, and following-up on corrective actions. The IT Audit Senior Advisor will need to work effectively in a team setting and have great communication skills.

You will

  • Support project planning for Dell s technology infrastructure, security, and IT general controls.oPerform audits, consulting engagements, and other influencing activities of infrastructure technologies, security, supporting operations, and processesoConduct reviews in highly technical areas of current/emerging technologies including Internet, Intranet, cloud, security, distributed computing, firewalls, and Windows ServeroRemain current and increase knowledge in the areas of auditing, business, company products and company information and Microsoft technologies, applications and other related technologies, utilizing self-study and/or continuing education efforts.oDevelop draft audit reports by identifying and gathering support for potential issues and recommend solutions.oEstablish and maintain strong customer relationships with internal and external customers, managers and staff.oAdvise and influence a team of technical auditors; providing technical and quality oversight, advice to internal audit projects and consulting services regarding technologies, IT risk and controls, and provide guidance and training opportunities.

  • Perform design and operating effectiveness test for IT general controls supporting the Company’s Internal Control over Financial Reporting (US SOX).

  • Conducts cybersecurity and data security and protection audits. Prepares audit plans and understands the specific issues to be evaluated.

  • Develops formal written reports to communicate audit results to leadership. Recommends system and control improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness

  • Travel Requirements: 30%

Essential Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of COBIT, IIA Standards, NIST and PCAOB Standards

  • Experience working with UNIX, Windows, ERP and Oracle database security. SAP Security experience preferred.

  • Understanding of SDLC/Application Development audit, and SSAE/SOC reports

  • Experience with auditing network security. Excellent project management skills with the ability to work independently

  • Understanding of General Accepted Privacy Principles (GAPP), PCI and HIPAA requirements.Professional designation is a plus (CISA, CIA or CISSP)

Desirable Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Business Administration or related field with 6- 8 years experience.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in External or Internal Audit with Minimum 2 years Financial Reporting/SOX audit experience.
