As part of Dell Technology’s Marketing IT organization, you will lead a team of Software Developers, Scrum Masters and Functional Analysts charged with delighting our customers by delivering high-value features to the many Marketing technologies we architect, build and enhance. We strive to be an agile shop and you will help us as we continue to move to more nimble and autonomous development practices where DevOps isn’t just a word, but a committed set of principles we embrace.

Leads development, support or maintenance projects requiring a wide application of theories, concepts and principles
Prepares an implementation plan of requirements by discussing with various stack- holders by identifying risks and dependencies of the requirements for planning successful requirement roll-out
Assumes lead role within a major project and is responsible for determining project approach, decision on operating procedure, analytical approaches and work flow
Responsible for budgeting, resource planning, personnel and administrative management functions for assigned development groups
Reviews projects quality to ensure projects follow processes
Provides significant support in enhancing existing systems applications and facilitating the definition of solutions to meet business requirements, customer training and design reviews
Works with customers/stakeholders to understand critical business success factors and key performance indicators to be managed, negotiates desired service levels, minimizes business risks and diffuses conflict
Provides mentoring and performance development to staff, challenging the team for creative solutions, innovative applications, cost reductions and improvements in service delivery
Plans long term capability development based on business objectives
Coach team members in coding and development skills
Provide clear, specific goals to the team and communicate performance feedback regularly through regular 1-1 meetings and performance reviews
8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
People management experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other relevant field of study
Advanced project management skills and development knowledge
Advanced client engagement and management skills
Demonstrated experience building and leading successful enterprise web-application development efforts
Experience inspiring and motivating people to fulfill their potential
Ability to promote teamwork and establish a foundation of trust among team members
An understanding of, and enthusiasm for, Agile management techniques
Highly knowledgeable and skilled in software development practices and techniques including but not limited to:
Source code management -- branching, tagging and merging
Code reviews and adherence to standards
DevOps experience and knowledge of latest trends
Expert skills in several of the following:
Object-oriented design and development
Java technologies - J2EE and the Spring framework
Multi-tiered web-application architecture and design
Heavily Desired – experience with Jive Software or other community driven collaborative tools
Fluency in English and ability to work in a distributed, global-team environment
