Job Title: Sr Advisor, Elastic Search Developer– IT (I8), Bangalore

About Business Unit:

Dell’s IT Global Operations and Business Intelligence group, Customer Data organization is hiring Elastic Search developer responsible for providing expertise in architecting and implementing solutions using Elastic to enhance the customer search capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide proven expertise in architecting and implementing solutions end to end

• Perform solution outline, and responsible for requirement gathering

• Provide technical leadership to project team(s) to perform design to deployment-related activities, provide guidance, perform reviews, prevent and resolve technical issues.

• Partner with clients to gather a necessary understanding of business objectives and processes, and provide clients with information about other relevant business factors.

• Provide information, feedback, and guidance to clients to support technology-related decision-making.

• Provide guidance and lead the technical team.

Essential Requirements:

• Required Professional degree in a technical discipline with a minimum of 8 years professional experience in software development experience.

• Proven track record demonstrating ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment

• Sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills

• 6 - 8 years of experience in .NET Core

• 4+ years of experience in building applications around the Elasticsearch platform

• Deep understanding of Elasticsearch internals and experience of architecting clusters based on data and search volume

• Experience with Python, JSON, API integrations

• Experience in Cloud based development, preferably PCF.

• Experience in working in Agile\Pivotal methodology

• Experience with distributed source code management systems like GitLab, TFS etc.

• Must have exceptional debugging and troubleshooting skills, with a solid understanding of logging and exception handling.

• Have depth and width of decision making maturity. Be able to gain trust & respect of engineering, dependent teams and stakeholders to deliver results

• Ability to manage and influence team members without direct reporting authority

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment; work with minimal supervision while delivering on action items in a timely fashion

Desirable Requirements:

• Experience in messaging like RabbitMQ and Kafka

• Experience on RDBMS technologies (e.g. Oracle)
