Principal Software Engineer
The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation application enhancements and new products for a changing world. What you’ll achieve
As a Software Principal Engineer, you will be exercising your software engineering expertise to manage some of the most complex environments of our customers. You will be working within a key engineering team as part of the Dell APEX initiative to deliver Dell as-a-service offerings.
Design, code, test, and deliver on the on-premise controller which is a key component of the APEX as-a-service portfolio.
Deliver software as per product road maps using CI/CD methodologies.
Engage in software development from design, through deployment, operation and refinement.
Participate in the development of all aspects of product delivery.
Scale systems sustainably and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
Guide development teams and collaborate with other stakeholders for APEX offering
Work with teams spread across geographical locations and time zones

Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role:
8-12 years of experience in enterprise class software development.
Strong knowledge of architecture, design and implementation of microservices in container environments like Kubernetes
Experience with DevOps, algorithms, software development.
Experience in developing software with Go Lang, Python3, AND RESTful APIs.
Experience with virtualization.
Experience in container orchestration Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience in developing secure, and scalable applications.
Ability to write high-performance, reusable code, unit testing & integration testing
Experience with tools and technologies associated with building continuous delivery pipelines.
Demonstrated passion, perseverance, and dedication.
Exceptional skills in debugging, triaging, performance tuning and troubleshooting of large software systems
Ability to guide teams and deliver in fast-paced environments
A winner of test-driven development models, CI/CD processes, continuous testing, agile development methodologies using tools like Jira/Github/Jenkins.
Proven experience in a Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills, drive and a sense of ownership.
B.E./B. Tech/ MCA with at least 9+ years of experience or M.E./M. Tech in Computer Science with similar experience
