Solutions Product Manager (Microsoft Azure Stack)

  • The Dell EMC Hybrid Cloud Platforms team is responsible for developing next generation cloud solutions leveraging core and partner products and platforms. We deliver end to end solutions for IT infrastructures with a focus on Microsoft Azure Stack and technology integration for our customers. We architect, develop, test and document the complete solution stack, including converged and hyper-converged infrastructures, Dell Technologies partners such as Microsoft as well as third party applications.The Solutions Product Manager (PM) represents the voice of the business to the solutions development teams, support, services and other functions.

What you’ll achieve

  • As a Product Management Senior Advisor, you will identify new growth areas in relevant use cases, ISV relationships and showcase how different solutions help our customers achieve their desired outcomes. The PM works closely with the Product Manager to align on the vision, objectives and business value of key ISV solutions built on Azure Stack platform focused on use cases such as Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Database solutions such as SQL Server and hybrid cloud/container solutions such as Azure, data analytics and machine learning, etc.

You will:

  • Oversee and drive application solutions through the phase release of software development lifecycle processes such as the Dell Offer Lifecycle Process (OLP), or solutions release process including business case and resource requirements.

  • Collaborate with other Product Managers, BU Leaders and Engineering/ R&D leaders to align product strategies into comprehensive portfolios for the BU.

  • Develop technical marketing solutions and communications designed to increase product sales growth and expand market share.

  • Creates and communicates Dell’s value proposition by clearly articulating the technical and business advantages of Dell’s solutions.

  • Drives technical messaging, sales enablement, and solution planning.

  • Engage with product technologists and pre-sales engineering teams to track proof of concept activity and ensure test plans are up to date with the latest product information.

  • Understand market trends and define the solutions roadmap for leading technologies found in today's modern data center such as VMware virtualization, Cloud Architecture, Hyperconverged Infrastructure, Containers, and Kubernetes.

Essential Requirements

  • Strong technical skills in IT, datacenter and hyper-converged infrastructure.

  • Experience with or knowledge of enterprise applications such as SQL Server, cloud architecture, virtualization, and modern application development technologies such as micro-services and containers.

  • Knowledge of leading cloud technologies found in today's modern data center such as VMWare, Azure, Containers, Kubernetes and OpenShift.

  • Solid grasp of business goals and objectives as they relate to customer use cases and solutions.

  • Understanding software development methodologies and tools like Agile, Atlassian JIRA and Power BI.

  • Experience authoring strategy docs, white papers, blogs, market research and vision documents along with user stories for current and future products

  • Excellent communication skills, business acumen and judgement

  • Experience with software development lifecycle processes such as the Dell Offer Lifecycle Process (OLP).

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in applications, workloads and solutions such as databases, data analytics, VDI, HPC and/or AI/ML as a product manager, solutions architect or an offering manager.

  • Proven experience working on a world-class product.

  • 8 to 12 years of relevant experience.

  • At least 3 years of Product Management or Solution development experience.

  • Knowledge of Dell storage and data protection products.

  • Experience with product and solution launch go-to-market activities.

  • Relevant experience in technical marketing and technical solutions.

  • Strong understanding of business goals and objectives as they relate to customer use cases and solutions.

  • Team player with the ability to work quickly and collaboratively across different teams and organizations.
