Key Responsibilities

As Senior Engineering Manager you will build and manage the software engineering team responsible for the quality assurance strategy for DellEMC’s newest management and orchestration team. This new team will build automation environments to rapidly validate miro-service products that are the foundation of other DellEMC software products. You will be on the leading edge of could technology driving it’s evolution as hyper-converged and micro-services architectures merge. This is a globally distributed team in various locations in India, Ireland, Russia and the United States.

Some of the key responsibilities include the following:

  • Hire and manage teams of software and quality automations engineers working on a suite of capabilities which will be part the foundation of DellEMC’s suite of software defined products.

  • Act as both a strong technical software lead and people management lead to deliver a world class product to our customers

  • Work with Common SW leadership across the Common SW teams to meet organizational goals. Regular communication with leadership on progress and milestone achievement; Also recruit, lead and facilitate career development for a world-class Engineer team

  • Be an advocate in setting and driving engineering best practices to deliver high quality software in an efficient and timely manner.

Essential Requirements

  • Product development experience in successfully bringing new products to market

  • Passionate about being a Leader. Knowledge of how to shape an organization to achieve business missions

  • Extensive experience staffing and managing a high-performing software development team; Knowledge of software development methods, design and implementation

  • Expertise in languages, tools, and techniques used to implement quality software products. Strong communicator, and be comfortable communicating technically at both high and low levels.

Desirable Requirements

  • Extensive experience qualifying and developing enterprise software; on premises software & Infrastructure as a Service, test driven development, software configuration management, automated testing, CI/CD

  • 15+ years of xperience working with large enterprise customers. Knowledgeable in Public & Private Cloud technologies

  • Knowledgeable in a subset of the following common software development tools, languages and design patterns

  • Python, GoLang, Service Mesh, Kubernetes, microservices, GitHub, Jira, Jenkins

  • Knowledge of Linux system administration and networking.
