Role Overview

Our Technical Marketing Engineers play an essential role in creating technologies that drive human progress. Using our in-depth product knowledge, we provide pre-sales technical expertise for the development and implementation of complex products, applications and solutions. We’re relied upon to deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations to sales staff and customers and provide technical input into bid proposals. We also assess the potential of products to meet customer needs. We enable customers to make the most of products by creating solutions by integrating various Dell and non Dell products. We also document best practices and reference architectures for specific customer workloads. Workloads may include everything from DBs (Oracle, SQL, No SQL), to filesystems (Windows, Linux, NAS), to hypervisors (VMWare, hyper-V, KVM, AHV) to cloud (AWS, azure, GCP) etc. Solutions may include everything from backup and DR to cross-cloud mobility, compliance, data management, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a team who's responsible for creating technical marketing collateral for our steady-state and new products within the Data Protection division

Build a dynamic and adaptable team that can accommodate last minute requests and produce quality collateral

Validate and review collateral produced by the team

Coordinate with different groups across the business unit to ensure consistent messaging and successful outcome

Report regularly to senior management on progress, roadblocks and present mitigation plans

Essential Requirements:

Masters degree

5-year or more of management experience

Ability to collaborate and coordinate with local and remote teams

Understanding of the data protection landscape and what customers are looking for in our solutions

Positive attitude, willingness to learn and inspire team members

Total : 15+ yrs of exp

Desirable Requirements:

Good communication and presentation skills

Data Protection experience

Technical Marketing or engineering management experience
