Job Title: Consultant, Data Specialist– IT (I9), Bangalore

About Business Unit:

Dell’s IT Global Operations and Business Intelligence group, Customer MDM organization is hiring a MDM consultant responsible for providing expertise in architecting and implementing MDM solutions using IBM Infosphere MDM. Customer MDM team plays an essential role within Dell providing customer information to Sales and Marketing processes. You will play a defining role in the continuing evolution of Dell’s Customer Master Data Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership to project team(s) to perform design to deployment-related activities, provide guidance, perform reviews, prevent and resolve technical issues.

  • Partner with clients to gather a necessary understanding of business objectives and processes, and provide clients with information about other relevant business factors.

  • Provide information, feedback, and guidance to clients to support technology-related decision-making.

  • Provide guidance and lead the technical team.

Essential Requirements:

  • Required Professional degree in a technical discipline with a minimum of 10 years professional experience in software development experience.

  • Proven track record demonstrating ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment

  • Sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills

  • 7-10 years of experience on executing projects in Hadoop ecosystem.

  • Writing high-performance, reliable and maintainable code.

  • Good knowledge of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.

  • Ability to write Pig Latin scripts.

  • Hands on experience in HiveQL.

  • Hands on experience in data loading tools like Flume, Sqoop.

  • Hands on experience in workflow/schedulers like Oozie.

  • Proven understanding with 8-10 years of Hands on with Hadoop, HBase, Hive, Pig, HDFS, Titan Graph DB and Scala.

  • Knowledge or experience in building data integrations, understanding enterprise integration patterns and concepts.

  • Ability to be a hands-on developer in Java on the Big Data platform

  • Experience in design and development of applications on the Java platform and the Hadoop big data platform

  • Strong in core Java

  • End to end experience of designing and developing enterprise class applications using Java EE platforms

  • Have depth and width of decision making maturity. Be able to gain trust & respect of engineering, dependent teams and stakeholders to deliver results

  • Ability to manage and influence team members without direct reporting authority

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment; work with minimal supervision while delivering on action items in a timely fashion

Desirable Requirements:

  • Knowledge of messaging technologies and concepts, e.g. JMS, RabbitMQ, Kafka. Knowledge and experience of Kafka would be preferable.

  • Good to have - Hands on experience on Streamsets.

  • Hand on experience on Elastic Search
