About Business Unit:

GO BIG owns the IT systems for Manufacturing, operations (Plan and procure), Inventory , logistics and fulfillment. It is hiring a Sr SW Engineer – IT for one of its programs. As part of this you will lead the development effort on a variety of projects in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment. Your role is to design and develop solutions to real market problems. You will work closely with Business partners, Architects, Testing teams and software engineers to develop new product offerings and improve existing ones. This position reports to the IT Manager of Development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new applications, and enhance existing components for the applications, using Java technologies.

  • Keep up to date on latest software development technologies and methodologies.

  • Drive or contribute to development standards as necessary.

  • Provide production support to operational staff on key issues as need arises and during release of new software

  • Candidate should be able to work in global development environment

  • Designing user interaction models, workflows and user interfaces

  • Integrating internal and external product design into a cohesive user experience

  • Successfully communicating conceptual ideas and design rationale

  • Be able to setup and execute CICD

  • Candidate should be able to work in global development environment and take up leadership in providing the IT solution.

  • Work with business users to clarify requirements and business rules

  • Ensure smooth functioning of our development, QA, production and staging environments

E ssential Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience leading large design and development efforts and coordinating project teams of 5 or more members

  • Should have hands on experience in minimum two below technical stacks.

  • Java, Java Spring Boot, Micro services- HTML5/CSS 3.0, AngularJS,- Rabbit MQ. Kafka, Stream Sets NOSQL DB - Mongo DB, Cassandra etc,- In MEM cache DB(redis/memsql)- Pivotal Cloud Foundry or any Cloud Technology- Tableau, Power BI Hadoop, HDFS, Spark- Data Science: AI/ML, R, Python- Mobile - Android/Ios developers (Lower priority)- Automated Testing, DevOps - CI/CD

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering high volume and high availability transactional applications under tight time constraints.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Ability to communicate design rationale and build consensus

  • Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to develop innovative approaches to complex design problems

  • Must be organized, have an eye for detail, and be able to put ideas into a tangible form

Desirable Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Pair programing

  • Knowledge on Analytics and Data science

  • Hand on experience implementing DevOps
