We design and develop electronic and electro-mechanical or systems-orientated products, conduct feasibility studies on engineering proposals and prepare installation, operation and maintenance specifications and instructions. Key Responsibilities

  • Contributing to overall software strategy

  • Execution of specific solution development plan

  • Be the local liaison with 3rd party vendors to ensure software is delivered on time and as expected

  • To become an SME smart NICs, their integration with Operating system, their roadmaps, and integration and utilization in SP solutions

  • Be a key decision maker on which smart NIC technology and products are best suited to specific SP solutions, especially for network edge

  • Contributes to deployment guides and automations of networking portions of SP solutions

  • Experience in python, ansible, other scripts or related programming languages, like GO.

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to adapt to changing business priorities

Essential Requirements

  • B.E./B. Tech. or M.E./M. Tech in Computer Science or MCA with atleast 10+ years of total experience

  • Technical understanding of the core hardware elements of an enterprise data center (i.e. compute, networking, and storage) and the software/hardware ecosystem that supports infrastructure virtualization

  • Good knowledge of OS - Linux Server OS

  • Experience with Agile or Lean processes required.

  • Demonstrate ability to use benchmark tools like ioperf, netperf, iozone, fio, spirant, etc. for component-level stress testing.

  • Working knowledge of Mellanox, Cavium, Netronome, or other smart NIC products and technology

  • Experience with distributed systems trouble shooting

  • Basic knowledge of network protocols in NFV space and SDN controllers

  • Knowledge of OVS, OVS-DPDK, SRIOV and other network virtualization and acceleration

  • Communication skills – written and oral

  • Attention to detail balanced with high level process overview/improvements

  • Experience with container platforms, like Kubernetes, OpenShift and Pivotal are a plus.

Additional Job Description

We are looking for talented, driven experienced self-starter to join our Service Provider solutions team, to help Service Providers in their journey of network transformation. The role encompasses solutions development for various Service Providers, including Communications Service Providers (ie, Telco, cable), Managed Service Providers, Hosting companies, Content Delivery Networks, Cloud providers and Consumer/Enterprise Web Technology providers. The Service Providers solution engineering team is responsible for building ready solutions – from point of reference architecture to a turnkey solution. Solutions engineering team works closely with product management team in gather market insight, partner technology update inputs, and internal server, storage and networking roadmaps into building ready solutions for SP market.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in virtualization, containers and software defined networking. Every Solution Engineer is expected to be inquisitive about new technologies, quick learner, and to be able to work with geographically dispersed team All of our solutions are built on top of Dell EMC server, storage, and networking products. As a Solutions Engineer you are empowered to influence overall roadmap, product design discussion and interact with sales and customer to understand the impact of what we are delivering.

Solution Engineering is a geographically dispersed team, this engineer will work in global team to build and deliver solutions that match or exceed customer expectations. Solution Engineer will also support overall SP virtual team of (sales engineers, services delivery and product management) to support in sales opportunity teams by doing knowledge transfer and supporting team with technical data for a conversation with the customers.
