The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications and diagnostics — all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.
Working in the SC Platform Team, to develop storage center platform solutions on FreeBSD and Linux.
Resolve technical issues of varying complexities and participate in release life cycle (sustain, maintain)
Work in a team environment with excellent communication skills
Experience in one or more of the following operating system environments: Unix-based OS FreeBSD, Solaris, HP-UX, AIX or Linux
Kernel level device driver development, with a emphasis on PCI and PCIe level drivers.
Understanding of Shell programming, Kernel programming and device drivers is required
GDB and kernel level debugging
BS in Computer Science or equivalent
2-5 years of relevant experience
In-depth development experience using C / C++ Excellent debugging, analysis and code development skills are required
BIOS/BMC/IDRAC interface and development experience
Networking experience including Ethernet, IP, TCP, UDP and IPv6
