Title: Principal Software Engineer - IT (I8)
Dell IT Overview:
In the Digital Transformation Program you’ll work closely with other designers, developers, researchers, architects, and business stakeholders to achieve the design objectives for each concept. This transformation program has three primary goals:
Establish a modern, global, cloud-based, software development company. You are a key player in creating a new culture that changes people, technologies and processes aligned with Pivotal practices
Enable n ew capabilities and experiences that include, but are not limited to, personalized mobile & web purchasing, AR driven sales and support, voice-enabled purchase assistance, and support for Internet of Things (IoT).
Empower and enable new team members to use the Pivotal Methodologies to develop the new capabilities
The team needs individuals with deep knowledge and experience in software development methodologies such as test driven development, pair programming, agile. We are looking for experienced developers with a strong background in Enterprise development and proven abilities to innovate, be creative and work well in a collaborative work environment
Key Responsibilities :
Perform below duties while another team member pairs with you so they learn
Product Ownership of future Online Commercial capabilities supporting Dell's online strategy, including business solution concepts, user stories and other documents
Define Persona-based and Customer-centric product roadmaps that align to key opportunities and strategic partnerships
Demonstrate and develop deep e-Commerce domain expertise, competitive landscape awareness, and provide guidance on emerging trends and industry best practices
Work with internal stakeholders, external customers and users to validate business and customer interests are represented, and that product engineering is aligned on those needs
Ensure regular and transparent updates to team and Executive management
Define & Forecast financial impact of Dell's online product decisions
Understand and represent the Dell's Strategic direction in leading online product decisions
Consultation as trusted expert advisor role to both internal and external stakeholders, including formal advice, Executive customer presentations, and speaking engagements at industry conferences
-Engineering Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
Typically requires 8+ years of related experience with a
Bachelor’s degree; or 6+ years with a Master’s degree; or 3+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience
-Strong commitment to writing and maintaining high quality Java code
-Understanding of Spring Framework fundamentals
-Solid understanding of Microsoft Stack
-Strong communication skills
-Experience contributing to open source projects
-Established background in public speaking at user groups, conferences, etc.
-Experience with cloud native architectures and infrastructure
