Software Principal Engineer

Our Software Quality Engineering team ensures that our next-generation software is of the highest quality. We conduct a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that our software meets or exceeds end-user requirements. We debug software products, oversee the development of test plans, ensure system tests are documented, analyze the results, provide feedback to developers and make sure that all problems are resolved. We also select testing specifications for new products and ensure testing procedures comply with industry-specific standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build test pipelines in a Cloud Computing platform, incorporating hardware, software, and Linux artifacts to automate quality tests on internal tools.

  • Reduce turnover time for program development and releasing cycles.

  • Leverage Cloud Computing, network protocols, Linux containers, storage hardware to test and innovate cloud products.

  • Responsible for planning and incorporating features into internal tools of divisions.

  • Responsible for testing prototypes' quality by using quality assurance practices, i.e.: test-driven development accommodated by various frameworks.

  • Works effectively with cross-functional and/or global teams, readily shares information with others.

Essential Requirements

Requires 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6+ years with a Master's degree or equivalent experience

Requires experience with the following skills and technologies:

  • Cloud Computing (architecture, containers, and micro-servers)

  • Large-scale storage hardware

  • Network protocols (TCP, UDP, and HTTP);

  • Linux and containerization

  • Programming languages (Python and/or Java)

  • Experience with Jira, Test Rail, or equivalent
