Our Software Quality Engineering team ensures that our next-generation software is of the highest quality. We conduct a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that our software meets or exceeds end-user requirements. We debug software products, oversee the development of test plans, ensure system tests are documented, analyze the results, provide feedback to developers and make sure that all problems are resolved. We also select testing specifications for new products and ensure testing procedures comply with industry-specific standards.


This is a Senior Software Quality Engineer position where experience, skills and knowledge include a thorough understanding of testing practices and procedures and are applied to complete tasks. Responsible for following procedures to ensure that all products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements. Under general direction, debugs complex software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for company products. Design, document and execute test cases. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Prepare reports and documentation updates. May take part in researching best practices, new tools and technology. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.


  • Development/implementation, execution and maintenance of test plans and test cases.

  • Develops and documents testing standards, best practices and ensures they are followed and applied.

  • Creating automation scripts and executing at regular cycles

  • Defines and documents test plans for new/existing application(s).

  • Manually creates and input test data or uses tools, programs or extracted production data to execute test cases.

  • Participates at requirements reviews, design reviews, system analysis and facilitates the testing review process. May lead the requirements or design effort as they relate to testing.

  • Evaluates risks associated with test plans and makes recommendations for alternative testing approaches.

  • Reviews test plans, test cases and test scripts of other team members.

  • Provides coaching and feedback to other QA Engineers.

  • Modifies test plans in accordance with changing requirements.

  • Determines if manual and/or automated test tools should be used to execute test cases and uses automated test tools to execute the test cases.

  • Able to create basic automated test scripts using HP mercury or other open source automation tools.

  • Ensuring that standards for production applications are followed. Supports improvements in overall quality results through the use of statistical measurements and tools.

  • Provides statistical analysis to aid in process changes and recommendations to management and or customers.

  • Assists in defining measurable goals for work/project team.

  • Working with Agile methodology

  • Experience in working with offshore team members.


Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Working Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing of multiple applications with significant size, scope and complexity.

  • Good understanding of core domain on Infrastructure is a plus

  • Knowledge on Storage/Virtualization/Network is an added gain for working closely with the current product.

  • Good knowledge and understanding of software lifecycle and software testing procedures, practices and tools.

  • Strong interpersonal networking and communication skills.

  • Team player with the ability to work in a multi-cultural and international environment, as well as ability to work independently on specific tasks.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing requirements and creating effective test plans and test cases; strong problem solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, negotiate and influence others.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities.

  • Flexibility, high motivation, passion about quality, and excellent judgment.

Specific Skills:

  • Experience in using Test Management tool like Jira, Rally or Software Planner.

  • Knowledge of Automation Tools such as Selenium ,JS & Groovy scripting.

  • Proficiency in use of PL/SQL or SQL related tools.

  • Manual testing of web based or client-server applications hosted on UNIX/Linux operating systems with in-depth debugging skills.

  • Associated or experienced with VMware/Networking/Storage domain

Nice to have:

  • Experience working in J2EE environment

  • Software testing certification in Testing would be a plus

  • Hands on experience with Agile Methodology would be a plus

  • Experience with Automation tools like Selenium, Jira & Rally
