Role Overview: The role will be critical to supporting IMS customers in managing their configuration and deployment requirements. The resource will be responsible for assisting customers move assets to production environments, manage the process end-to-end while providing regular and meaningful updates to customers regarding project status and related topics. The role will be an important interface between IMS customers and internal technical and service management teams.
Deployment of a wide range of storage, backup and converged infrastructure solutions into customer data centres
In partnership with IMS (Infrastructure Managed Services) technical team, co-ordination and planning of lifecycle management and migration projects
Preparation of project plans, project schedules, risk mitigation and status reporting within the standards of project management methodologies.
Act as a project contact for IMS-internal and customer stakeholders
Collaboration with internal SMEs to ensure successful implementation of customer requirements
Co-ordination of project activities with IMS employees and/or partner resources both local and remote
8+ years of experience as a technical Project Manager particularly in the area of infrastructure deployments
ITILv3 Foundation Certification with an understanding of ITIL Service and Change Management processes
Strong communication skills
Organizational abilities and time management skills to balance multiple/shifting priorities at times
Experience in customer and stakeholder engagement
Fundamental understanding of Dell EMC technology and Managed Services Offerings and products a benefit
EPM2, PMI or Prince 2 Project Management certification
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Strong interpersonal skills
